RAM Leasing Tips: Ending Your Lease Early
Our RAM leasing options provide plenty of flexibility. You can drive off in a new RAM truck and return it upon completion of your contract. However, what if you need to end your lease early for any reason? Will this incur a penalty?
Can I End a Car Lease Early?
The short answer is yes. Just about all car lease agreements have provisions that allow you to terminate your contract before its end date.
Is there a fee for early termination? The short answer is also yes, but the amount varies depending on what you choose to do with your leased vehicle. Fortunately, there are plenty of options if you terminate your lease early.
Sell the Lease
Most lease contracts permit you to transfer your remaining lease to another person. The process isn’t too different from selling your car to a private buyer. There is a fee for transferring the lease, but it’s usually no more than $100.
Place your car in ads along with a copy of the terms and conditions. Another way to go about the process is to sell your lease to a trusted relative or friend.
Buy the Car
Most lease contracts allow you to buy the car at the end of your lease period. What most people don’t know, however, is that you can buy the car at any time. Speak with our dealers to determine an early buyout price. If you no longer want the car, then you can buy it and then sell it.
