Turn Heads in a Dodge Charger
The 2021 Dodge Charger looks and sounds like the iconic muscle car that drivers have loved for years. This large Dodge sedan has room for up to five passengers and appeals to consumers looking for the latest technology features and safety equipment. However, it’s still a performance vehicle with fun appearance packages and performance upgrades. The 2021 Charger has just a few small upgrades, including 20-inch wheels for the GT all-wheel drive. Turn heads in the latest Dodge Charger.
The Trim Levels
Dodge provides buyers with several Charger models to consider. The base is the SXT, which has 17-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, and automatic halogen headlights. Bump up to the GT for 20-inch alloy wheels and a hood scoop, while the R/T comes with an electronically tuned active exhaust. Stepping up to the Scat Pack gets you a black rear spoiler, specially designed 20-inch wheels, and high-performance brakes. The SRT Hellcat and SRT Redeye both have flared fenders, ultra-high-performance brakes, a more aggressive body style, and an adaptive suspension.
The Engine Lineup
The five available engines for the Charger start with a 3.6-liter V-6 with 292 horsepower or 300 horsepower, depending on the configuration. A 5.7-liter V-8 sits under the hood of the R/T, generating 370 horsepower, and the Scat Pack has a 6.4-liter V-8 with 485 horsepower. If you choose the Hellcat, it comes with a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 that puts out 717 horsepower, and if you feel like you still need more power, the Redeye has a version of this engine that develops 797 horsepower.
The Technology
You’ll get the latest tech features in the 2021 Charger. The base SXT has a 7-inch touch screen, and it comes with Apple CarPlay and Andriod Auto. The GT steps up to an 8.4-inch touch screen and upgrades the stereo system. Navigation is optional for most trims, and you can also get the Uconnect 4C infotainment system, which comes with integrated navigation. Satellite radio is also optional and you can get voice controls and extra USB ports.
The Appearance Packages
Most Charger models offer optional appearance packages. The Daytona Edition Group for the R/T and Scat Pack adds leather and Alcantara upholstery, Daytona badging inside and out, and a cold air intake. The Widebody Package for the Scat Pack gives it super wide wheels, wider tires, and extra flared fenders to accommodate the wheels. It also adds Bembo brakes. Adding the Blacktop Package gets you black-painted wheels, black exterior trim, and a black performance spoiler along with a sport suspension and gloss black instrument cluster trim rings.
Performance Packages
The Charger Performance Handling Group comes with black brake calipers, a high-performance suspension, and Brembo four-piston fixed caliper brakes. It also adds 20-inch Lights Out painted alloy wheels and a leather flat-bottomed steering wheel. Adding the Dynamics Package equips the Charger with black Brembo six-piston fix-caliper brakes, 20-inch low-gloss black wheels, and a leather flat-bottomed steering wheel.
